A Bit About Me

Hi, I’m Catherine! For more than 20 years, I worked in education as a teacher, principal, executive director, and specialist, where I led teams, launched big ideas, and built systems that helped people do their best work. Along the way, I discovered something important: I love being behind the scenes, bringing order to the chaos and helping others shine.

Now, I work with individuals and small teams who need thoughtful, dependable support to bring their ideas to life. Whether it’s building a website, mapping out a project, organizing digital clutter, or just lightening the load; I’m here to help things feel clear, doable, and even a little bit joyful. I believe great support should feel like a deep breath; the kind of help that gives you space to focus, move forward, and feel more in control.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me walking the beach with my husband and dog, collecting shells for craft projects, attending local festivals, spending time with our kids, or out on the water boating.

Work Experience

2022-2025

2020-2022

2017-2020

2011-2017

As a Learning Support Specialist at BloomBoard, I played a key role in the design and refinement of personalized learning experiences for educators nationwide. I evaluated and fine-tuned AI-generated content, built clear rubrics, and developed support systems to ensure educator success in micro-credential programs. I collaborated cross-functionally with engineering and content teams, applying my background in instruction and leadership to improve quality and impact at scale.

At Western Governors University (WGU), I served as an Evaluator for the Teachers College, reviewing and assessing graduate-level submissions to ensure alignment with academic standards and licensure requirements. With a strong eye for detail and a commitment to meaningful feedback, I supported thousands of adult learners in demonstrating competency and progressing in their programs. This role reinforced my ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and maintain consistency in high-stakes evaluation.

As Executive Director of Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, I led a team of over 30 directors and specialists to design, implement, and evaluate professional learning across one of the largest urban school districts in the country. I facilitated large-scale events serving thousands of educators, managed districtwide systems for leadership development, and served on cross-functional committees to modernize data and operations. My work focused on aligning professional learning with district priorities and supporting both aspiring and sitting school leaders.

As principal of Maryland’s first Apple Distinguished one-to-one technology school, I led Emma K. Doub Elementary through a transformative period of innovation and achievement. The school became known for its integration of the arts, technology, and project-based learning, earning statewide recognition for creativity and academic growth. During this time, I also served as president of the Maryland Society for Educational Technology (MSET) and Common Ground Inc., leading statewide professional learning efforts and overseeing the Common Ground Conference—Maryland’s largest education conference. These roles deepened my impact across the state, allowing me to support thousands of educators through strategic leadership, event planning, and collaborative partnerships.
